how is putting a non paying parent in jail solving them not paying child support? how is taking away thier license to drive, or perform their work duties that requires them to hold degree's solving anything. if they have no way to get to the job site, they are more than likely going to say, wtf should i care. lets say you have a doctor or lawyer that requires a specialized license to do their job legally, and you pull those, and all they can get is a min wage job, how is that solving anything?

i think the offer i stated earlier would be more benifitual in solving a lot f the non paying child support payments...

I'm not saying it is a perfect system, but it can work. After a couple of years of non payment a felony warrant was issued and executed, my ex spent 41 days in jail, made payment arrangements to pay a portion of his arrears upfront, got put on probation and has paid his child support ever since.

it may have worked well in your case, but i know a male ( not worth calling him a man ), who has been in and out of jail in the last 4years for non- support. gets a job stayed there long enough for the state to start garnishing his wages, and quits. currently last i heard he is living off the state so to speak, living in a homeless shelter in springfield. he is very capable and able to work, just refuses to.
