The father who reported that two masked men broke into his Carthage home late Thursday night and stole his baby has been charged with filing a false police report connected to the baby's disappearance.

Authorities say that Eddie Salazar Sr. gave them the name of a man who broke into his house at 227 E. Mound that was responsible for taking his 8 month-old son Eddie Salazar Jr.

After police interrogated the man for several hours they were confident that he had nothing to do with the baby's disappearance and went back to Salazar who admitted that the story was bogus. Other details provided by Salazar have also been discounted.

At a news conference today, Chief Dagnan says the child's mother, Yasidra Aguilar, wasn't home at the time little Eddie went missing and at this time they do not believe she had anything to do with her baby's disappearance.
At this point, Salazar has only been charged with filing a false police report, and he is being held on $100,00 bond.

Why do women hook up with these Monsters, have kids w/them, and trust them with their baby's welfare?

It looks to me like there's way beyond enough evidence to charge this "father" with murder.

The whole deal looked phony from the very beginning. Two masked guys who he doesn't even know barge into his place, beat him up and kidnap the child? Why? Ransom money? There isn't any. Sex fiends? They don't operate that way. Drugs? Now that's what I at first thought it might be about--that maybe he was a mule who brought dope across the border and didn't pay them or something--and they took the child. Now that was a possibility. But none of it added up.

So law enforcement believes he was a hoaxer from the beginning. My hope is that the State will exact the fullest penalty that the law provides upon the guilty party's miserable life.

I was reading this lastnight and thinking to myself, what the H*LL is wrong with people. How in the world can one kill and innocent child, it drives me nuts. This little guy and the one that has been missing from Arizona baby Gabriel Johnson, these little guys was only 8 months old, my gosh how can one be so calous and heartless to take a babies life. Now they are going to look in landfills in San Antonio for baby Gabriel, they think the mom actually killed him. it is heart breaking, the monsters should be hung, sorry that is the way I feel, life in prison or lethal injection is far too kind.

What about the states that have (or are considering) repealing the death penalty? They are doing so because inmates are filing suit claiming the death penalty violates their rights. Um...didn't they lose those rights when they committed the crimes? If we went back to the old west days and carried out justice we wouldn't need to keep finding more places to build prisons due to overcrowding. There is no justice for victim's anymore.

just baseing this only the "false police report" only. they are asking for $100,00.00 bond. to me that is awful steep of a bond for that infraction.

however if he is the one who has done harm to the child, drown his as*...., and let the river critters eat his sorry as*...
